I tried to install DirectAdmin on my server running a clean OS install, but the setup script always ends with this failure:

Cannot find ip in the ./scripts/setup.txt file
## INSTALL_FAILED
## REPORT_END
Permissions set

How can I correct this problem?

First of all, make sure your Operation System is registered with the license. Second, make sure that you're using the same IP address assigned to your license. If not, you can change the IP address in the setup.txt file:

• cd /usr/local/directadmin/scripts
• pico setup.txt

Make sure the IP, Netmask, and other directives or values are setup correctly, and are not blank. Save, and then exit.

• cd ..
• ./directadmin IP
