emacs
Emacs is a full screen text editor supported by OIT. On OIT UNIX machines the default version of Emacs is the GNU software release of Emacs.

pico
Pico is an easy to use Unix text editor with a layout similar to the email program Pine. anywhere on the screen to insert and change text.
